November 26-27, 2023 (Sunday-Monday)
Okhaldhunga
PHA Nepal successfully completed a two-day cardiac health screening camp and pulmonary hypertension awareness program in Siddhicharan Municipality, Okhaldhunga, Nepal, on November 26-27, 2023. The camp took place in a remote village with difficult road access, presenting significant logistical challenges for both the team and participants. This comprehensive approach ensured that the program not only provided medical services but also fostered long-term health awareness within the community.
During the screening program, PHA Nepal President Samjhana Khanal distributed winter hats and socks to all children, providing a personal touch of care and support. The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of a team of medical professionals and volunteers, including Dr. George Jung Katwal, Dr. Roshan Khatiwada, Dr Madhavi Pant, Dr. Elisa Senne (from Italy), Dr. Amit Khatiwada, Dr. Siddhant Adhikari, Health Assistant Prabin Ghimire, RNs Sharmila Rai and Junu, and numerous local volunteers.
